A book of lyrics by Sting will be released this fall. It will include all of the lyrics he ever wrote, from his years with The Police to his solo years. “Roxanne” is there. “Every Breath You Take” is there. And along with the lyrics is commentary by Sting himself. This is Sting’s second book; in 2003 he published a memoir entitled, “Broken Music.”

Now, if I remember right, 2003’s “Hulk” was pretty much a disappointment at the box office. Apparently, not too disappointing, because a sequel is in the works. This time, the title character will be played by Edward Norton, and Liv Tyler has signed on to play his love interest. The film is expected to start shooting this summer in Toronto.

This baby needs a nap

posted by Kaza

Larry Birkhead arrived home from the Bahamas Tuesday with his baby daughter, 7-month-old Dannielynn. He also had a new official Bahamian birth certificate listing him as the father, and removing the name of Howard K. Stern, the man Anna Nicole Smith had claimed was the baby’s father. I feel so, so sorry for this baby – she seems like the pawn in a high-stakes game. Luckily, the child is probably perpetually numb as per getting high doses of benzos and painkillers through his mother’s tainted breast milk.

Tori Amos is Broadway bound

posted by Kaza

Tori Amos’s latest project is a musical that she will send to Broadway when it’s finished. She’s writing both music and lyrics, and claims to be “under lock and key” while she’s working on it.

“I think I am writing a musical. I’m gushing but I’m under lock and key,” she explained. “I’m trying to be [Andrew] Lloyd Webber and [Tim] Rice. I’m trying to be both [of them]. I’m busy. This is such a big project–a double record, 23 songs and the extras.”

MTV Movie Award nominees

posted by Kaza

The MTV Movie Awards will air June 3rd, and the nominees include Justin Timberlake for breakthrough performance in “Alpha Dog”. Best performance nominees are Beyonce Knowles and Jennifer Hudson – both for “Dreamgirls,” Will Smith, Keira Knightley, and Gerard Butler. Butler is nominated for “300,” which leads nominations with a total of five. “Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men’s Chest” follows with four.

The woman who claimed that Chris Rock is the father of her 13-year-old son is now saying she wants a DNA test. Apparently, she isn’t 100 percent sure Rock is the father. Wouldn’t the test have been a good move before giving a press conference announcing he was? Rock has started proceedings to determine paternity and plans to support he child if he is, indeed, the father. Announcing you have a baby with Chris Rock seems a lot less stressful than testing twenty men on Maury…

No more hobbits, elves, or giant Empire State Building-climbing gorillas for Peter Jackson. His next film will be an adaptation of the best-selling 2002 novel “The Lovely Bones” by Alice Sebold. The novel tells the story of a 14-year-old girl who has been murdered and narrates her story from heaven. The film is set to begin filming this fall.

Shawn Levy, director of last year’s mega-hit “Night at the Museum,” starring Ben Stiller, is starting production on a new movie that’s a little less ambitious. “The Way Back” is a coming-of-age story about a 15-year-old boy’s summer at a beach house with his family. Levy’s previous credits include “The Pink Panther” and “Cheaper by the Dozen.” “Night at the Museum” has earned more than $570 million worldwide.

Songwriter / singer Keith Urban has plenty of material for songs for his next album, but he’s not waiting until then to speak about his 90-day stay in the Betty Ford Center. On Monday, he posted a video to his fans at his official web site.

“There was no cataclysmic event that happened right before I went in,” said Urban, who taped the message last Thursday. “What it was, was a lot of small things that were happening in my life and a lot of small moments that were starting to accumulate that were telling me very loud and clear that I was a long way from my program of recovery…and that were making my life unmanageable.”

He called the 90-day program one of the “most impactful times” of his whole life, and thanked his fans for all their support.

Danny DeVito branded Limoncello

posted by Kaza

Other stars enter rehab after making a drunken fool of themselves. Not Danny Devito. After his ranting appearance on The View that was fuelled by a night shooting limoncello with George Clooney, DeVito decided to market his own brand of the liquor. Harbrew Imports, Ltd is developing Danny DeVito’s Premium Limoncello, which will be available sometime this summer and sell for under $25 a bottle.
