Brown’s a Square

posted by Kaza

If you aren’t too keen on international affairs, you may not know Tony Blair is no longer the Prime Minister of England. That spot atop the constitutional monarchy is now occupied by Gordon Brown. He was recently asked whether or not he would consider going on the Fox animated program The Simpsons as his predecessor Tony Blair did. Gordon didn’t help his “square” image by turning down any future offers to make a cameo.

Grandfather Clocks

posted by Kaza

When I used to think about grandfather clocks, only one specific one came to mind. My grandfather’s beautiful stained ash piece that dutifully kept the time for 64 years. When he died, I was able to obtain the precious clock to have it telling time well into the next millennium. The fact that it’s been working so long is a testament to the quality and care that were put into these great machines. The bells and pendulum on it will continue to capture the imagination of visitors to my home until I can pass on this relic to my ancestors.

As much as I love the old clock, there’s no denying I want to protect it as much as possible. I still want guests to be able to talk about the timepiece in my living room, so I was thinking about getting this contemporary Howard Miller grandfather clock. Just take a look at the beautiful black finish. It would fit much more well in my living room with the modern furniture while I keep my grandfather’s relic upstairs in my bedroom. The spot on place for grandfather clock lovers has to be at 1-800-4clocks.com. They have an immense selection of beautiful brand new models, from classical to contemporary, all at great prices. It’s no wonder they have been featured on the Today Show and the New York Times! They also maintain a blog all about clocks, just in case you couldn’t get enough. Add some time to your life by visiting their clock blog. If you love grandfather clocks as I do, you’ll want to check out the information and selection at 1-800-4clocks.com and their blog.

Pens?

posted by Kaza

I have always wondered, when the stars cash a check, what kind of pens do they use to endorse their signature? Do they use a regular black ball point Bic like the rest of us, or do they have a ceremonious Presidential quill pen they carry with them? These perplexing questions are why you come to this website, and you can depend on me to get to the bottom of the problem.

Fear/Loathing

posted by Kaza

When the crooks broke into my house, they took my immense collection of fine DVD movies. Of course they left me with my son’s lousy drug movies, like Friday, How High, Half Baked and others. However, he did leave one drug movie I found somewhat interesting. Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. This cult classic stars Benecio del Toro and Johnny Depp in Hunter S. Thompson’s classic story about finding the American Dream in a drug-induced stupor.

Beach Weddings

posted by Kaza

It’s getting cold in many places in the country, but that doesn’t mean you have to postpone your dream beach marriage. There are still many places that are warm this time of year that would just love to perform beach weddings. So if you are engaged and are tired of waiting for the right season to roll around for your wedding, consider going to a warmer climate. Jump on your Lear jet and go to Tahiti, it’s as easy as that.

Defining Jewelry

posted by Kaza

There is some jewelry that has practical applications. Anyone who has ever played Goldeneye for the N64 knows a watch can be a valuable laser weapon to get you out of sticky situations. However, there is a fine line you cross when you talk about jewelry. There is what can be considered weapon jewelry and fashion jewelry. For the latter, there are plenty of retailers on the internet waiting for your business.

Superbowl!

posted by Kaza

Since I didn’t get to catch the lousy game in London, I got to thinking about the end of the season. Without the trip to London and all that that entails, I would probably be able to afford Superbowl tickets. This year, in an effort to save advertising space for the biggest game in American football, they have contracted the name to one word. I can’t wait to see who ends up in the promised land at the end of the year, the newly named Superbowl!

London Game

posted by Kaza

This weekend, I was wanting to see a sure blowout in the National Football League. On Sunday, I headed down to the Meadowlands to purchase my Jersey Boys tickets, but found out they were playing the game in England. It ended up being a really boring game with the G men barely scraping it out, 13-10. I would have been disappointed had I spent money to see it, or worse, if I traveled to England for it.
