Ephedra

posted by Kaza

A few years ago right here in Florida during Spring Training for Major League Baseball, Orioles pitcher Steve Bechler died after having supposedly taken an ephedra supplement. This, coupled with the fact the chemical is a precursor in the methamphetamine manufacturing process lead the DEA to crack down on so called ephedra diet pills. However, if you look hard enough you may still find some.

Gym Membership

posted by Kaza

I was wondering which would be cheaper: spending money on a gym membership I may or may not use, or going all out and getting my own fitness equipment. I think I would rather have fitness equipment in my house. Then, I don’t have to worry about the judging eyes at the gym, plus I can work out without wasting valuable time and gas getting to the gym. With financing options, it may actually be cheaper.

Super Bowl

posted by Kaza

Did anyone see this year’s Super Bowl? My, what an exciting contest! I told a few friends of mine at work that the Giants would win. Of course no one believed me until it happened. I am not a Giants fan but was glad to see someone beat the Pats. In any event, I had a party at my house outdoors in the Florida warmth. Someone slipped and fell so it has me thinking about installing outdoor lighting just to be on the safe side.

Back Pain

posted by Kaza

Since about New Year’s Day, I have noticed an increasing back pain problem that plagues me throughout the days. Whenever I’m at work, I am constantly shifting my weight due to the pain in my lower back. I was looking for possible solutions, but all my doctor could tell me was be more careful about positions I sleep in. That’s when I looked into getting a sleep wedge to keep me aligned when sleeping.

Student Loans

posted by Kaza

I was thinking about going to college, but don’t like being in debt. This is exactly what would happen if I went back. My state scholarship has been revoked, so I would need to depend on student loans to get me through. I am wondering now if it’s worth the trouble. I will play a wait and see game.

Sports Franchise

posted by Kaza

My favorite sports franchise is the Atlanta Braves. I have been a Braves fan since childhood. Anyone from the southeast in the early 90s was a Braves fan, it seemed. You had the unbeatable tandem of Maddux, Smoltz, Glavine and Avery. The closer, Mark Wohlers, was unstoppable with his 100 mph heat. The fielders came and went, but the ones to keep up with were the Jonses, Chipper and Andruw. Of course this was all made possible by an emotional leader, Bobby Cox, and front office staff that kept the team elite for a long time.

Class Action

posted by Kaza

I was reading my favorite entertainment magazine this morning when I came across one of those full page ads concerning a pending class action lawsuit. The subject was mesothelioma caused by environmental factors. Those effected could send away for a chunk of the settlement. Most of the time, these class action suits end up getting each person a few cents. I was involved in a credit card settlement once, got my check in the mail for .04 cents. It cost them more for postage!

Branson

posted by Kaza

Have you ever been to Branson, Missouri? If so, my apologies up front. Branson is known as the Prohibitionist’s Las Vegas, with a host of family friendly shows and destinations not centered around, in fact not even allowing, drinking or gambling. I suppose someone could set up a book on how long over time Jesus Christ Superstar will run, but opportunities for fun in this town are limited for the hedonist. However, it is a great place to raise a family in case you were wondering about land for sale Branson.

Car Angel

posted by Kaza

Have you ever looked at your junk car and wondered how you could translate the rusting pile into bilingual religious videos? When I saw my Chevrolet Celebrity taking up the drive way one day, I was wondering how I could take that car and turn it into a Christian DVD for a bilingual child. Luckily, I was not the only one with this vision. Car Angels takes money from car donation and distributes videos indoctrinating today’s easily impressionable youth. This Dora the Explorer generation will stand no chance.

Criss Angel

posted by Kaza

I heard illusionist and magician Criss Angel was performing some new stunts in Las Vegas next month, so I started looking into making a trip over there to see everything live. The flight were fairly simple to get. I go with this one carrier that is inexpensive practically everywhere, which makes for easy traveling. The only thing I was worried about finding was the discount hotels Las Vegas. Once I have that booked the trip is ready.
