Gift of Wine

posted by Kaza

Sometimes, it’s hard to find a special gift for someone. You can’t really go wrong with wine! It’s delicious and intoxicating, the two things people adore most. That is why this year I am considering getting all of my friends the gift of good wine. Personally, I find wine to be bitter and unpalatable, but I guess my tastes just aren’t sophisticated enough. I’ll enjoy my Wendy’s gift card as my friends down their wine gifts.

Home Carnival

posted by Kaza

You may have read my last post and got hungry for some classic carnival food. While I have been making elephant’s ears for a few years in my home, I never had the opportunity to make bulk amounts of buttery popcorn until I went out and got popcorn machines. You see, one bag in the microwave just wasn’t enough for me. After eating funnel cake and cinnamon almonds, I needed that yummy popcorn to help it all go down.

Fun Exercise

posted by Kaza

There are many ways to promote self-fitness nowadays. Remember back in the day, jumping on a trampoline? Those days don’t have to be so distant. Even if it has been thirty years or more since you bounced around on a trampoline, you can still get one in your home. That’s right, there are tiny trampolines available at sports stores to encourage you to get your body moving.

Stair Lift

posted by Kaza

My mother recently had hip surgery, so it made it hard for her to get up and down her stairway. She had to go out to get to the doctor, after all, in home visits are a thing of the past. That is why my brother and I installed stair lifts for her. That way, now and in the future, she will be able to get out of the house no matter what her mobility situation is.

Luxury Sheets

posted by Kaza

There is a long history of celebrities being picky about the sheets on which they sleep. Just a few months ago, there was a story online about Sir Elton John refusing to stay in a hotel after a concert of his because they refused to accommodate him with silk bedding. When they saw Elton and his millions of dollars walking out the door, they rushed to a local retailer to pay full price for the silk sheets, just to keep the man happy and spending.

GPS Future

posted by Kaza

I remember just a few short years ago, the concept of GPS was still in its infancy. Who would have imagined that here in 2008 it would begin becoming ingrained as a part of our culture? Now, even low-end cars come enabled with some form of GPS. People are using GPS in productive ways. I just hope it doesn’t become a way to monitor everyone ala 1984, then GPS will have worn out its welcome.

Insurance of the Stars

posted by Kaza

With all these radical environmentalist groups out there looking to make an example of prime housing, celebrities and other well to dos are turning for the first time to high quality home insurance. Now, we aren’t talking about the same lousy insurance they gave to the people of Louisiana, Mississippi and Florida. This is top of the line stuff with total coverage, but it comes at a price. A price celebrities are willing to pay to sustain their lifestyle.

Classic Comedy

posted by Kaza

One of the most ancient plot devices employed by writers is having to do with human memory. For example, there was a hit movie recently about a man without short term memory, so he forgot everyone he met. I believe it was called 50 First Dates. Someone’s perspective, marred by some tragic defect of personality or memory, has been a classic plot for comedy for years and will continue to be.

Nutty Professor

posted by Kaza

Have you ever seen Eddie Murphy’s updated version of the classic film The Nutty Professor? The first one is just hilarious. You can see clearly why the sequel was centered more around his family, because those scenes are just unforgettable. For example, Mama Klump begins to talk about the benefits of having a colon cleanse while Cletus proceeds to take this into his own hands using flatulence. Priceless.

Research

posted by Kaza

I have recently done some market research, and this is what I’ve found out: things don’t look all that good for the future. The signs are as clear as day. For one thing, retailers are refusing to accept their own gift cards. Not all of them, mind you, but some. Whenever businesses are willing to give the finger to their customers by refusing to honor gift certificates, you know something deep and disturbing is going on.
