In the place I live, many people invested a great deal of money in the real estate market. They are now complaining that their investment properties are being converted into crime havens. My only response to them is that they played the real estate game and lost. They shpuld either sell the property at a loss or expect more crime in the future. They are the ones who brought the half built homes and ugly eyesores to town before they bailed out!

Most people assume that celebrities with a great deal of cash flow just go out and deck their homes out with the ultimate in contemporary and modern furniture. That is not always the case. Some of the more religious celebrities homes could be mistaken for a throwback to the Quaker era. This is indeed rare. I mean, could you imagine having fifty million in the bank while watching television from a wicker chair?

Somewhere off the main Hollywood drag, there are exclusive theaters that show all the best movie premiers. I am not talking about some megaplex movie theater, I am talking about the celebrities homes themselves! Usually after they’ve walked the red carpet and pretended to watch the movie in public, they go home for a private screening in their private home theaters. Complete with home theater popcorn machines and in-seat service, these are the premier places to watch movies. Too bad they are so exclusive that only family and friends of the stars would ever get to experience it. Bummer.

Of course Hollywood’s finest actors and celebrities hit the links just like the rest of us. However, in this day and age of space-inspired golf clubs, what exactly do the rich and famous use out on the course? It really depends on who you talk to. Celebs who take the golf game very seriously can often be found with a new series of Nike golf clubs. The drivers hit super far and the putters are said to be light as a cloud. Sounds pretty good, right?

Used to be coffee makers were all basically the same. You needed a handful of paper filters and some Folger’s roast. All coffee came out tasting basically the same. I never was a fan of restaurant coffee, but I did always like Starbucks drinks like lattes and cappuccinos. It turns out that many of these quality drinks use espresso, not regular coffee. Nowadays, it’s possible to make good quality espresso from home in machines that also perform the other necessary functions of a coffee shop, like steaming milk. Coffee machines have come a long way since your grandpa’s drip apparatus.
