Gift of Wine

posted by Kaza

Sometimes, it’s hard to find a special gift for someone. You can’t really go wrong with wine! It’s delicious and intoxicating, the two things people adore most. That is why this year I am considering getting all of my friends the gift of good wine. Personally, I find wine to be bitter and unpalatable, but I guess my tastes just aren’t sophisticated enough. I’ll enjoy my Wendy’s gift card as my friends down their wine gifts.

Home Carnival

posted by Kaza

You may have read my last post and got hungry for some classic carnival food. While I have been making elephant’s ears for a few years in my home, I never had the opportunity to make bulk amounts of buttery popcorn until I went out and got popcorn machines. You see, one bag in the microwave just wasn’t enough for me. After eating funnel cake and cinnamon almonds, I needed that yummy popcorn to help it all go down.

Stair Lift

posted by Kaza

My mother recently had hip surgery, so it made it hard for her to get up and down her stairway. She had to go out to get to the doctor, after all, in home visits are a thing of the past. That is why my brother and I installed stair lifts for her. That way, now and in the future, she will be able to get out of the house no matter what her mobility situation is.

Airport Blues

posted by Kaza

A few weeks ago, I was on a business trip to West Virginia. I packed up about a week’s worth of clothing and toiletries so I could write a story about the fascinating life of Senator Robert Byrd. I arrived in Canton, Ohio and caught a can the rest of the way. I finally arrived in my destination, realizing I had forgot an important suitcase at the airport. Luckily, there was nothing in the suitcase, but I needed new luggage sets to keep important data in for the return trip.

Fitness Time

posted by Kaza

I get tickled every time I watch TV on Sunday morning. That is the time and place for just about all of the infomercials you can think of. I can’t believe how many different options we have in the kitchen nowadays. Stove? Microwave? Oven? All of those things are now obsolete thanks to “as seen on TV” products. Then, when you are done eating that moist turkey from the Showtime oven, you can burn away the calories using the fitness equipment they sell later on.

Las Vegas Trip

posted by Kaza

I want to attend this summit in Las Vegas that is happening early next year. I have already bought a few budget airline tickets. Apparently, I have to go through Phoenix airport on the way there. That won’t be a big deal, as I have yet to see the state of Arizona. I look forward to losing a great deal in Las Vegas and pursuing the American Dream ala Raoul Duke. The only ting I have yet to get is a Las Vegas hotel, but as much as I lose on the Craps table, they’ll probably put me up for free.

Pigeon Forge

posted by Kaza

Not too far away from the monumental Biltmore Estate across the border into Tennessee is Pigeon Forge. There are plenty of attractions in Pigeon Forge, including Dolly Parton’s personal theme park, Dollywood, and a plethora of other entertainment options for the whole family. You can choose to lodge in town at a generic motel, or you can rent Pigeon Forge cabins with beautiful views of the uninhabited Great Smoky Mountains.

“Dog” Chapman Latest PC Victim

posted by Kaza

Political correctness is running amok in the lives of celebrities and everyone else. Don Imus is out of a job. Now, you can possibly add Duane “Dog” Chapman of Dog the Bounty Hunter to that list. His network suspended new episodes of his bounty hunting program after the esteemed National Enquirer got a hold of a conversation he had where he used the “N” word many times. Oh well. At least it couldn’t have happened to a more deserving person.
