The Doctor, Jan Adams, who performed plastic surgery on Kanye West’s mother walked off the Larry King show abruptly, explaining he was asked by the West family to not go on. He said he would never answer questions as long as the family wasn’t comfortable. Larry King said it was one of the craziest things he had ever seen on his show in it’s many years, and probably one of the more interesting. He stayed around long enough to say a few lines, then shook Larry’s hand and removed his earpiece. Investigators are looking into whether Dr. Adams actions cost Kanye’s mom her life, and it has also stirred debate about the safety of plastic surgery.

Does anyone remember the hilarious clay animated show brought out by Eddie Murphy called The PJs? If not, you missed a great show. There is good news, though, as The PJs will return to cable TV once again on a network aimed at black viewers called “TV One.” The show followed the daily life in a haphazard housing project with Eddie Murphy taking the role as the superintendent. It took some negotiation with Walt Disney, but it appears as if fans of the show waiting for its return will be celebrating. The show originally aired from 1999 through 2001.
With writers all over Hollywood striking for higher pay, TV shows we all watch and love might be threatened. It’s not time to panic, though, if you are a TV fan. Most of the big programs on TV still have anywhere from 3 to 6 more weeks of programing. Then, the big question is on the writers. It has yet to be seen, but if the strike continues you can expect to be watching many reruns come next year.
Lillian Ellison passed away at 84 in her South Carolina home. This wasn’t just any old girl though, she was known throughout her career as the “Fabulous Moolah” and was the most recognizable women’s champion in the sport. She held the titles in the WWE (Then WWF) longer than any other champion. She also became the oldest title holder ever after winning the women’s belt as late as 1999. Her legacy will be one synonymous with women’s wrestling, a sport which she lived for.
Here is a classic clip from the old show “Rocko’s Modern Life” where Rocko has to save his friend Heffer from going to market. You will see the antics that ensue as he uses a dead mounted horse to chase down his friend. I remember watching this show as a kid. I just wish kids these days could enjoy the wholesome entertainment I did as a child. Now, we have bilingual monkeys on television. What is the world coming to?
Don Vito made his first impressions as Bam Margera’s uncle on his MTV TV program Viva La Bam. He was popular because of his incomprehensible speech, heavy weight, lazy eye, and vindictive personality. Those traits ultimately lead to the semi-star’s downfall as he was recently found guilty of sexual battery on two underage girls he groped during an autograph session. Each charge carries a minimum of six years, so it is likely the actor will never find work, or possibly sunlight, ever again.
If you aren’t too keen on international affairs, you may not know Tony Blair is no longer the Prime Minister of England. That spot atop the constitutional monarchy is now occupied by Gordon Brown. He was recently asked whether or not he would consider going on the Fox animated program The Simpsons as his predecessor Tony Blair did. Gordon didn’t help his “square” image by turning down any future offers to make a cameo.
Well, yeehaw! The Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame just got a little bit bigger with the induction of Earl Scruggs and Lester Flatt. Yes, these are their actual names. Who could make this stuff up? They are most popularly known for conducting the theme song to the popular TV show “The Beverly Hillbillies.”
When you go into the living rooms of the stars, there are a few things you could practically expect to see. One would be an enormous LCD TV that they use to play online games and watch their movies in high quality surround sound. You can rest assured knowing these guys get the finest in digital entertainment equipment, but if you had that much money you would, too.
