Grandfather Clocks

posted by Kaza

When I used to think about grandfather clocks, only one specific one came to mind. My grandfather’s beautiful stained ash piece that dutifully kept the time for 64 years. When he died, I was able to obtain the precious clock to have it telling time well into the next millennium. The fact that it’s been working so long is a testament to the quality and care that were put into these great machines. The bells and pendulum on it will continue to capture the imagination of visitors to my home until I can pass on this relic to my ancestors.

As much as I love the old clock, there’s no denying I want to protect it as much as possible. I still want guests to be able to talk about the timepiece in my living room, so I was thinking about getting this contemporary Howard Miller grandfather clock. Just take a look at the beautiful black finish. It would fit much more well in my living room with the modern furniture while I keep my grandfather’s relic upstairs in my bedroom. The spot on place for grandfather clock lovers has to be at 1-800-4clocks.com. They have an immense selection of beautiful brand new models, from classical to contemporary, all at great prices.
