Forty years ago, when John Lennon was in his prime, his wife Yoko Ono presented him with an idea for a tower of peace. Now, at the age of 74 Yoko is finally making their dream a reality by unveiling the tall Peace Tower structure that will display the words “imagine peace” in 24 different languages. The structure was built in Reykjavik, Iceland and will only be ignited between October 9th and December 8th to convey the shortness of life. John Lennon was murdered by a deranged fan and he would have been 67 on October 9th, his birthday.
